ASANA Board Members worked directly with the local member league, TIPS and the Visit Tucson Tourism Bureau and presented to our council in February 2025 and representatives from leagues all over the country voted unanimously to host the 2026 World Series in Tucson!

Anyone on a World Series roster will receive a 2026 ASANA World Series Participant Wristband as a gift. While wearing it is encouraged to identify participants during events and activities, it is not required for the tournament.

ASANA is hosting our annual events: Registration & Activities Day, Opening Party, Hall of Fame, Closing Party. In addition we are planning events throughout series week that will be fun additions to the week and provide a wide array of participant experiences: karaoke, speed dating, drag shows, local experiences. What's the minimum number of nights?

• Hotel Rooms - Must turn in receipts with a a minimum of nine (9) total room nights to receive the hotel deposit refund.

How are Nights calculated?

• 1 room/reservation for 5 nights + 1 room/reservation for 4 nights = 9 nights

• 1 room/reservation for 3 nights + 1 room/reservation for 3 nights + 1 room/reservation for 4 nights + 1 room/reservation for 3 nights = 10 nights

Registration opened on July 1 and operated on a register-and-pay model. Teams secured their spot by completing registration and submitting payment in full. Once the tournament reached capacity, additional teams were placed on a waitlist. This process was communicated to member leagues, delegates, and team managers in advance through multiple announcements and registration materials.

Rosters are due September 19

ASANA Delegates and Representatives of each Member City are responsible for entering the full league participants, with ratings and eligibility by August 15.

The team cap was increased to 110 teams (from 80). Once the tournament reaches the 110 team capacity, additional teams will be added to a waitlist. If a spot becomes available, ASANA will invite the next eligible team to register based on the established waitlist process. Teams offered a spot will receive registration instructions and will have a limited window to complete payment and confirm their participation. Remaining waitlisted teams will be notified once the field is finalized.

All teams that were on the original 80-team capacity waitlist have been contacted and offered the opportunity to register. If your team was on that waitlist and you have not received your registration information, please contact ASANA as soon as possible so we can assist you.

If a registered team withdraws before September 1, a refund will be issued less $50 cancellation processing fee. No refunds will be processed after 9/1.

ASANA did not announce an increase in capacity until additional fields, staffing, scheduling, and operational logistics had been confirmed. Rather than communicate a possibility that might not happen, we waited until we were confident the tournament could responsibly accommodate additional teams.
